Housing Choice Voucher Program

Greenville Housing Authority administers this program to assist “very low-income” families who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the Administrative Plan. Voucher holders are responsible for finding a unit that must meet minimum standards of health and safety as determined by HUD and GHA from the private rental market in Butler County, AL. Program participants pay no more than 30% of their monthly adjusted income towards rent and utilities. Housing subsidy is paid directly to the property owner.
